CASE-ing the Catty - Perfectly Pears

I’m playing catch up with CASE-ing the Catty for LAST week. We were invited to visit with friends for a few days on the Sunshine Coast at the end of last week, so I didn’t have time to finish my card and write the post.

The challenge was to CASE projects from the Boho Vibes Suite on pages 61-63 of the 2025-2026 Annual Catalogue. I have to say this has to be my least favourite suite from the Annual Catalogue. It just doesn’t speak to me, lol, so it was a challenge to look past the colours and imagery for my inspiration.

This is the project I chose and I’m using the layout for my inspiration. I have changed it up though!

Pretty, feminine birthday card using the Perfectly Pears bundle and coordinating Painterly Pears patterned paper.

I have flipped the layout 90^o degrees to the left for my card using the Perfectly Pears Bundle. The two banners are cut from the Painterly Pears DSP, which is really lovely. They were layered onto a Lemon Lolly card base. The pierced Basic White circle replaces the photo and provides the background for the Pecan Pie stem and the stamped and cropped pears. I added a little ink blending on the circle first, to soften it.

Calypso Coral ink was softly blended over the cross-hatch die cuts cropped from Petal Pink cardstock. The ‘hey’ greeting is from the Charming Day stamp set and the birthday greeting is from the Spring Corners stamp set. Both greetings were stamped in Secret Sea ink, which is the background colour in the floral paper. I sprinkled some of the tiny white flowers around and adhered even tinier pearls to the the centre of each.

For the inside I have an Old Olive mat for the writing panel. In the bottom left corner I have used one of the cross-hatch die cuts as a stencil and ink blended over it. It adds a soft background for the stamped and cropped pears.
