CASE-ing the Catty – Florals in Bloom

Hi there

Welcome to CASE-ing the Catty for this week. We are just a few short days away from the brand new 2025-2026 Annual Catalogue  being available to customers!

If you’ve come from visiting Monique, then welcome!  If you’re visiting me, I appreciate you stopping by today! You can continue your journey to see the other inspiring creations from the CTC Crew by clicking on the button at the bottom of the post.

This week we are CASE-ing from the front cover of the 2025- 2026 Annual Catalogue, as we can’t show you the inside until Tuesday 6th. A little strange I know, as you might already have been browsing your very own copy of the new catalogue. If you do not already have a Demonstrator (in Australia) and would like your own complimentary hard copy, then fill in your details on the Request Catalogues page (click on the link) on my blog.

Stampin’ Up! hasn’t given us much to work with this year, so I chose the project above from the front cover for my inspiration. I like using designer paper across the width of a card, although this card is a little too busy for me, so I have morphed it into something that allows the florals to shine.

I was very time poor this week as I’ve been preparing for the next round of classes, so I took the beautiful new Florals in Bloom DSP and got to work with my paper snips to fussy cut some images from one of the pages. There are 2 pages of designs that are perfect for fussy cutting to achieve a gorgeous pile of floral ephemera to have on hand for quick makes.

First up though, I decided on the Secret Sea and Cloud Cover striped design for my background strip. I’ve gone with a wider strip than the sample project and added a cute Cloud Cover border that I created with the largest of the Textured Notes Dies by cutting the strip twice.  I added some white Bakers’s Twine at the bottom to ground my cluster of fussy cut flowers and layered it onto a Basic White Thick card base. The greeting from the retired Stippled Flowers stamp set was stamped in Berry Burst ink and cropped on an angle. Berry Burst isn’t one of the listed colours on the pack, but I think it works perfectly with this group of flowers. I finished with a trio of Antique Pearls.

For the inside, I have a Cloud Cover mat for the writing panel and I have taken an image from the edge of the page to start my little cluster of flowers. This is a great way to use up the partial images from the edges.
