CASE-ing the Catty – Charming Day

Hi there,

Welcome to CASE-ing the Catty for this week.

If you’ve come from visiting Julia, then welcome!  If you’re visiting me, I appreciate you stopping by today! You can continue your journey to see the other inspiring creations from the CTC Crew by clicking on the button at the bottom of the post.

This week we are taking inspiration from the new bundles released in the 2025-2026 Annual Catalogue, that are displayed on pages 81 – 87.

I chose the project in the photo above from page 84 of the Annual Catalogue. It isn’t a great photo (actually it’s terrible!) with the card and background being the same colour. However, I was drawn to the banner with the flowers in the corner.

Pretty, feminine all occasion card using the beautiful rose image from the Charming Day stamp set.

I have used a standard Basic White Thick card base rather than a slimline. For texture, I added another layer of Basic White dry embossed with the Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder. I broke open the Party Banners Dies for the first time and cropped the banner using Strawberry Slush cardstock. There are SO many nesting banner dies in this set and it’s definitely one that will be in my stash forever. The white Baker’s Twine was added to the top of the banner and I decided to pop it up on 1mm foam pads as I think that works better with the corrugated texture.

For the focal piece, I have stamped the large floral image from the Charming Day stamp set and colored it with Strawberry Slush and Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends markers. I had forgotten how much I love Strawberry Slush – it was a huge favourite the first time around. There is a corresponding die to crop the image, but I chose to fussy cut it to get into more nooks and crannies. I popped up the image in the corner of the banner and tucked some Lost Lagoon foliage behind the roses. The white foliage under the rose was cropped with a die from the Peace on Earth Dies.

I have kept the inside simple, with a Strawberry Slush mat for the writing panel. The rose image was partially stamped in the corner and coloured with the same Stampin’ Blends markers.

I haven’t added a greeting because I preferred it without one. However, I can always add one when I know the recipient/occasion it will be used for. It is nice to have a few cards in your stash without greetings for extra versatility.
