CASE-ing the Catty – Extraordinary Flora

Hi there,

Welcome to CASE-ing the Catty for this week.

If you’ve come from visiting Monique, then welcome!  If you’re visiting me, I appreciate you stopping by today! You can continue your journey to see the other inspiring creations from the CTC Crew by clicking on the button at the bottom of the post.

This week we are taking our inspiration from the Beautiful Gallery Suite in the 2025-2026 Annual Catalogue.

I chose the project in the photo above from page 52 of the Annual Catalogue. I liked the slightly retro look that has been achieved by using the frame from the Gallery Blooms Dies to create background interest.

The layout of my card is very similar to the sample card but I changed it up for a brighter version using the Fresh Freesia option from the Beautiful Bokeh DSP for the background. To create the frames, I used the nesting square dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies with the pierced border detail adding another layer of interest

I decided on the greeting from the retired Inspired Thoughts stamp set and stamped it in Petunia Pop ink before cropping it with a banner from the Stylish Shapes Dies. With that in place, I started positioning the Extraordinary Flora Washi die cuts around it. The washi pattern has 2 colour ways and I opted for the Berry Burst/Petunia Pop to coordinate with the background paper. I adhered the washi flower set to a strip of White Willow card stock before cropping it with the coordinating die.

I continued the style on the inside of the card, adding the pretty Fresh Freesia Bokeh paper edge to edge. Some leftover pieces of the frames were added on the edges and another of the floral die cuts to finish. This is rather different, but the paper is certainly light enough to easily write your message.

The Extraordinary Flora Washi is a really fun product to use and fabulous for pretty floral embellishments. It has been so popular, it is currently unavailable but should be restocked around 16 June.
