Heart of Christmas – Modern Christmas Suite
Welcome to week 3 of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop for 2025. Each week until end of November, the talented ladies from the Art with Heart team will bring you inspiration for your holiday craft projects.
This week I’m using products from the Modern Christmas Suite for my card. This suite was in the latest release of Online Exclusives in September. The specialty designer series paper is black and white with lush gold foil accents on one side and the ‘B’ sides are various smaller scale black and white prints.
I’ve started with a landscape style Thick Basic White card base. I cut another card-front sized panel of Basic White and added the strips of black and white trees to the top and bottom. The trees were cut into strips from one sheet of the Modern Christmas Specialty DSP. This design has the lovely gold stars on the reverse (sigh, why do they always do that!), so lucky there are 2 sheets in the pack! A narrow strip of Gold Foil creates a border for the trees.
The greeting from the Ornamental Christmas stamp set was stamped in black ink in the centre space. The embellishment started with the group of trees that I cropped from a sheet of the Modern Christmas DSP. It is popped up on a Gold Foil decorative circle using the Spotlight on Nature Dies and then onto the largest circle from the Ornamental Christmas Dies. I used the star die from the retired Cracker & Treat Dies to crop some Gold Foil stars to pop up on a tree and scatter about. The finished panel was added to the card base.
For the inside, I added another strip of trees to the bottom edge with the narrow Gold Foil border. The greeting from the Ornamental Christmas stamp set was stamped on a separate piece of Basic White and added above the border. I finished with 2 more Gold Foil stars.
This yet another great layout for creating multiples and a quick make once you have your components prepared.
