Heart of Christmas – Week 4
Hi there
Welcome to another week of Christmas inspiration from the Art with Heart team. This week I'm sharing some cards using the lovely designer paper we have in the Holiday Catalogue. Just a reminder, that you can now purchase any of the fabulous products in the Holiday Catalogue from my Online Store.
I've used the All is Bright designer paper for my cards today. This pack is a combination of photo-realistic images and small prints, so it is flexible for different styles. Using designer paper, you can keep your layout simple and let the paper do the heavy lifting for you.

For this first card, I've used the beautiful photo-realistic greenery design with the red berries and gold baubles mixed throughout and I adhered it to a Real Red card base. I chose to use the lovely greeting from the Merry Christmas To All stamp set, which I heat embossed in gold. I lightly traced around the inside of a Layering Circle die that I placed over the greeting, identifying the sections that would be cut off. I then manually cut around these areas first before cutting with the circle die. It is a tad fiddly, but worth it. I've used a retired Lacy Doily as a background to the greeting and added some new Mixed Satin Ribbon over the doily to give it some contrast to the embossed greeting that was popped up onto a Gold Glimmer circle.
For the inside, I have added a strip of the designer paper at the bottom and a tiny strip of the red design from the reverse side of the paper. In the top right corner, I used a die from the Detailed Poinsettia Thinlits in the top corner of the writing panel. I coloured the white dots with Stampin' Blends and popped them back as berries. I pieced the smaller leaves in Old Olive and left the pine fronds to show the Garden Green from the mat.

For the second card, I've used the gold bauble design from the All is Bright designer paper. I have paired it with Gold Foil and Very Vanilla for a classic, elegant combo. However, you could also use white card stock as well with this paper.

I've matted a piece of the designer paper onto Gold Foil and positioned it to the left of the vanilla card base. You get 8 pieces from a sheet of designer paper, so a great option for multiples.
I added a scalloped Vellum circle to soften the background and then a narrow Gold Foil ring as a base for the greeting. I extended one of the square stitched framelits into a rectangle and gold embossed the lovely greeting from the Making Christmas Bright stamp set. To finish I added a gold metallic-edge bow to the top.
The new products from the Holiday Catalogue that I have used on these cards are now available for purchase from my online store.
