Heart of Christmas – Joy of Noel
Welcome to another week of Heart of Christmas. Each week, the talented ladies from the Art with Heart team will bring you inspiration for your holiday craft projects.
This week I've used 3 new products that arrived in my pre-order from the new 2023 September-December Mini Catalogue. If you are a customer of mine, you should be receiving your complimentary copy of the catalogue in the post very soon.

A wreath is one of my favourite Christmas images, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to use the curved spray from the new Joy of Noel stamp set to create this card. I stamped 5 of the curved sprays in Shaded Spruce and coloured them with Stampin' Blends before cropping with the coordinating die. I layered up the sprays into a circle. I did try 4 first, but 5 works better for a nice round wreath.
The wreath was popped up on a square panel of Pool Party card stock that I dry embossed with the cross-hatch design and added to a Basic White mat. Once I had the centre panel done, I could cut the square card base from Thick Basic White. I added the vibrant Shaded Spruce mottled print from the Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper to the card base and used Adhesive Foam Strips to adhere the art panel.
The greeting is from another new stamp set, Wishes All Around, stamped on a Basic White strip in Real Red ink with the ends flagged and popped up on the wreath. I finished with a Real Red bow and gold pearls on the greeting. The finished card is 13.5cm ( 5 5/16”) square. This is a very dimensional card!
For the inside, I have a mat of Pool Party for the writing panel and I stamped the spray in the corner and coloured it. At the bottom I added a strip of Real Red ribbon that was sitting in my ribbon box.

Stunning card Judy. I tried this wreath with only 4 sprays and I thought it looked odd, I’ll try again with 5. I love your bright cheery colour scheme.
Really beautiful, Judy. I am in LOVE with that DSP, and have been creating with it, too. Your wreath is a beautiful centrepiece of your card, and the placement of the lovely sentiment is perfect.
Lovely card stock colour choices, it really accentuates the wreath. What a great stamp set!
A beautifully put together wreath Judy and the embossed Pool Party mat makes the wreath ‘pop’ too.
A gorgeous wreath card Judy. Like you, I love a wreath for Christmas and love your card. The five sprays of leaves & berries works perfectly. I love your choice of colours and layout. xxx
Great use of the curved spray from the new Joy of Noel stamp set, Judy! I love a wreath card and yours is so classic with your colour choices – that colouring must have taken a while! The big red bow is the perfect finishing touch.
So between you and Christine you have convinced me to add Wishes All round to my next order. Judy I agree with you that the 5 sprays was definitely the way to go. Your colouring is beautiful and I really love the addition of the spray on the inside.
Lovely card, Judy. You can’t go past a wreath for Christmas, and I love how you created this with the holly pieces from the bundle, where I used the die cut pieces for a different look. Your colouring, layering and the bow are all perfectly placed.
A beautiful card both inside and out Judy. I love a wreath at Christmas and yours is perfect. I also love your choice of DSP and the inclusion of Pool Party layers works so well with the Shaded Spruce and your perfectly coloured images.
