CASE-ing the Catty - More Pretty Poinsettia

This week we are CASE-ing a Punch project from the 2026 September-December Catalogue.

I chose this card from page 42 for my inspiration this week. It uses the Creative Celebrations Mix & Match 6″ X 6″ (15.2 X 15.2 Cm) Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Exciting Times Bundle, which includes the Rounded Rectangle Punch. I like the angled front layout on this card and it is actually a really versatile template.

This is a soft and pretty Christmas card in Barely Blush and white featuring a beautiful layered Poinsettia.

I have stayed close to the layout for my card. The card base is Thick Basic White and I added a layer of Barely Blush cardstock that was dry embossed with the Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder. The top angled section is the pretty Barely Blush gingham from the 2026-2028 In Color Gingham Gallery. A narrow band of Silver Foil was butted up to the gingham paper.

The Poinsettia bracts were cropped from Basic White and I added a little Barely Blush to the centre of the top layers with a Blending Brush. The leaves and the centre were cropped from Silver Foil. The greeting from the Pretty Poinsettia stamp set was heat embossed in Silver and cropped with the second largest rounded rectangle die from the Nested Essentials Dies. I offset a layer of Barely Blush under the greeting to give it some definition. The looped Irridescent Striped ribbon (retired) under the Poinsettia adds some softness and more sparkle. I finished with a trio of silver sequins.

On the inside of the card, there is a Barely Blush mat for the writing panel. The bright silver heat embossing makes it difficult to see the greeting from Jolly Holly stamp in the centre. I added a little Barely Blush ink blending in the bottom corner and small Poinsettia.
