Heart of Christmas – Holly Jolly Branches

Hi there
Welcome to the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop for 2026. Each week until the end of November, the talented ladies from the Art with Heart team will bring you inspiration for your holiday craft projects.
This week I have a bold and sparkly Christmas card using the Holly Jolly Branches Dies.

I started with a slimline card base in Basic Black and cut another slightly smaller panel. The greeting from the Pretty Poinsettia stamp set was heat embossed in gold on the left of the smaller panel, before being adhered to the card base.

I cut a set of the ‘skinny trees’ from each of the gold, silver and copper sheets in the Metal Effects Specialty Paper. The Early Espresso from the Autumn Woodland Glimmer Paper was included in the group for extra sparkle. The trees were laid out and I adhered them both flat and popped up to add dimension.
The reindeer from the Graceful Evergreen Hot Foil Dies were foiled in copper on Basic Black Two-Tone paper to blend in with the background. I sprinkled some Gold Adhesive-Backed Dots around to finish. The matte finish works well with matte metallic papers.

For the inside I have used the gold Metal Effects paper to mat the writing panel. The greeting from Stitched Stocking stamp set was heat embossed in gold in the centre. I added a few leftover trees in the corner to finish.

This is a card that is best appreciated in person to see the sparkle and shine from the all the elements. I think I will make it again with a white card base and see which I like best.
