World of Dreams

Today I'm sharing one of the cards we made in class on Saturday.

I've been wanting to ink up this lovely 'World of Dreams' silhouette stamp set for a while and it provided the opportunity to introduce my class ladies to some basic sponging and paper piercing. The Ovals Collection framelits and matching paper piercing templates work really well with the bird nest image. The images in this set make it very flexible for a range of occasions.

I love the 'Hardwood' background stamp and it goes really well with the nature images in this set. I've stamped it in Baked Brown Sugar on Crumb Cake card stock and sponged the edges. The bird nest image was heat embossed in Early Espresso embossing powder and sponged in Soft Sky ink. I'm having a bit of a fling with Soft Sky at the moment and it is certainly a Dynamic Duo with the new In Colour Lost Lagoon. The lovely silky ribbon is new in the soon-to-be released Holiday Catalogue. It is amazing how Stampin' Up! achieve the perfect colour match between ribbon and card stock. I was really happy with the final result.

As you know, I always decorate the inside of my cards and I include this as part of my classes as well. I've used another of the images from 'World of Dreams', stamped in Baked Brown Sugar.
