Welcome the Holiday Catalogue!

Hi there

Today the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalogue goes live to the public, so I'm sharing the card I made for a team swap using new products from the catalogue. I chose the 'Dove of Peace', which is a single stamp incorporating the bird image and the sentiment.  To make this stamp more flexible I carefully cut the sentiment off the bottom and turned it into a separate clear mount stamp.

The bird is a beautifully detailed image, but it stamps so crisp and clean. It is perfect for colouring and also looks gorgeous embossed as I have done in gold on Shimmery White card stock.

I have used other gold elements to complement the dove, including the gold striped washi from the 'Wonderland' set and the banner and 'peace' in gold foil. The word 'peace' is die cut using the 'Christmas Greetings' Thinlits and it cuts and pops out perfectly with the new Precision Plate for the Big Shot. On top of the gold banner is one of the new cute wood 'Snowflake' elements (that I choose to think of as stars) and the new gold cord trim.

I used a fine glue pen on the wing tips to add sparkle with the Dazzling Diamonds glitter. The dove was fussy cut and popped up to give it more depth.

Finally, for the inside I used a strip of the gold striped washi at the bottom and stamped the bird partially in the top right corner in gold ink. The lovely greeting is from the 'Embellished Ornaments' stamp set.

If you don't have a Holiday Catalogue yet, then please contact me and I will pop one in the mail for you.
