Covered Memo Block
Hi there
I'm still busy making items for my craft market. I've been making covered notebooks and post-it note holders, which are fun to make and decorate. Last week I found some larger memo blocks that are great to have on your desk or near the telephone for quick notes.
Because these blocks are 4cm thick, I have adapted the design I used on the standard post-it note holders to have the pen holder at the front, so it is easy to see and get to. It has a double thickness of card stock for sturdiness and is refillable. I was really pleased with the way it turned out.
I have been playing around with metal shim, so I have decorated the top of the memo block with an embossed flower from the Floral Frames Framelits that I had left over. I've added the next smallest flower from Floral Frames in Core'dinations card stock, also embossed and sanded and a flattened soda pop top layered on that. The images are from the retired 'Collage Curios' stamp set.
I think this is a gift that could be easily adapted for a male version, although my husband thought it was already suitable for a male. What do you think?
