Heart of Christmas – Cute Christmas Mice

Hi there

Welcome to the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop for 2026. Each week until the end of November, the talented ladies from the Art with Heart team will bring you inspiration for your holiday craft projects.

This week I decided to have a play with the A Little Christmas DSP. It has lots of cute critter imagery and I managed to stamp some images when a friend dropped by with the coordinating Christmas Mice Bundle a few weeks ago.

This is fun Christmas card made with the Christmas Mice Bundle and A Little Christmas DSP.

I peeked through the hole in the skirting boards and saw this cute mouse preparing for Christmas festivities. The Christmas tree was up with parcels at the bottom and the mouse with a Santa hat was carrying a large sparkly candy cane!

To create my little scene I decided on an arch shaped card created by placing the largest arch from the Everyday Arches Dies slightly past the fold of Basic White card base, so it wouldn’t cut the edge. The Lost Lagoon striped design from the Everyday Mix & Match DSP was perfect for the wallpaper. I cropped the Christmas tree and presents from one of the panels in the A Little Christmas DSP. I also cut away the floor and popped it up over the top, which adds lots of dimension.

The wooden frame was cropped from the Country Woods DSP using two of the nesting arches dies. I adhered it to another, cut from Early Espresso cardstock to make it more robust. Seriously, these dies are a must have in your craft stash! I used Foam Adhesive Strips to adhere the frame over the card base to add another level of dimension.

The cute mouse was coloured with Stampin’ Blends markers. Crumb Cake was used for the body and Barely Blush for ears, whisker pads and hands. Did you notice that the coordinating die cuts around the hands so he can hold things! The Santa hat was coloured in Real Red and I used a glue pen to add (retired) Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the band and pompom. I also added Dazzling Diamonds to the white sections on the candy cane, which doesn’t show on the photo, but it is very sparkly. The greeting was hot foiled in red using the Magical Christmas Hot Foil Dies.

For the inside I have the same striped paper in the background and a smaller arch on top for the writing panel. I added another of the Magical Christmas hot foil greetings. On the left side, I have another coloured mouse getting ready to put up the cute wreath.
