Heart of Christmas - Traditions of Christmas

Welcome to week 2 of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop for 2025. Each week until end of November, the talented ladies from the Art with Heart team will bring you inspiration for your holiday craft projects.

This lush Christmas card features the beautiful Traditions of Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Greetings for You Ephemera.

This week I’m using products from the Traditions of Christmas Suite for my card. It is another favourite suite from the 2025 September-December Mini Catalogue. The specialty designer series paper is rich and lush with gold foil accents that the camera has focused on.

I’ve started with a landscape style Thick Basic White card base and used 3 of the designs to cover the front. The Secret Sea background provides a strong contrast to the pretty bouquet of flowers and foliage.

There are 2 sheets of the bouquet images in the Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP, in 3 colour options, but I chose red for the Christmas vibe. All of the colors are suitable for multiple occasions and best of all there is a coordinating die to crop the image. I added some layers of pine foliage in Old Olive and the large leaves in Gold Foil, that I cut apart. The foliage was cropped with the Christmas Greenery Dies. The layers add lots of depth to the card and for a final touch, I fussy cut the centre flower from a partial image on the edge and popped it up.

The greeting is again from the Greetings for You Mix & Match Ephemera Pack, popped up and I added a trio of the gold Traditional Sparkling Sequins to finish.

For the inside, I have a continued the same style from the front of the card, but with the centre panel being Basic White. The greeting from the Wishing You Joy stamp set was stamped in Old Olive ink and I finished with a small red flower that was fussy cut from another sheet of the Traditions of Christmas DSP.

I think this is another design that would be great for making multiples.

Judy, I love the inside of your card as much as the front of your card. I agree that the Secret Sea background really makes your bouquet pop and the sentiment from the Greetings for You Mix & Match Ephemera Pack and the Traditional Sparkling Sequins are the perfect finishing touches.

Stunning card Judy, the bold colours you chose for the background behind the bouquet really accentuates the gold in the bouquet.

I love the extra die cut pieces behind the bouquet flowers. I love the Secret Sea background (I used it too) and the poinsettia panels on the sides are so pretty!
