CASE-ing the Catty - Modern Christmas Trees

This week we are CASE-ing the Bundles section on pages 49-54 of the 2025 September – December Mini Catalogue. I had something in mind, but when I got down to creating, I totally changed my mind!

So I ended up choosing the project in the photo above for my inspiration. It uses the Fluffy Squirrel Bundle. The row of squirrels on this slimline card caught my eye and I thought it would be perfect for some leftover trees from the Modern Christmas Specialty DSP.

So I started with Basic White Thick card base and decided the focus panel would have a mat of Gold Foil. To add interest and texture to the background of the the focus panel, I dry embossed it with the retired Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder.

This is a super sparkly Christmas Card with a grove of fussy cut trees from the Modern Christmas Specialty DSP.

I added a narrow strip of Gold Foil to ground my row of fussy cut trees. I have been die cutting the groups of trees from the paper and these were ones that were left around the edges. They are all adhered flat apart from the one in the centre. The greeting from the Greetings For You Mix & Match Ephemera Pack was adhered under the trees. I finished with some retired gold Metallic Pearls.

For the inside, I have a Gold Foil mat for the writing panel and I added a strip of the circle design paper at the right. The greeting is from the Jolly Holly stamp set. I finished with another fussy cut tree on the left.

This card was super hard to photograph with the glare from the Gold Foil. It looks super sparkly in real life!
