CASE-ing the Catty – Holiday Mini Mix & Match

Hi there,

Welcome to CASE-ing the Catty for this week.

If you’ve come from visiting Rachel, then welcome!  If you’re visiting me, I appreciate you stopping by today! You can continue your journey to see the other inspiring creations from the CTC Crew by clicking on the button at the bottom of the post.

This week we are CASE-ing any project from the 2025 September-December Mini Catalogue. Having free choice is always fun.  If you do not have a Demonstrator (in Australia) and would like your own complimentary hard copy of the Mini Catalogue, then fill in your details on the Catalogues page (click on the link) on my website.

I decided to use the Mix & Match products for my card today. There are 3 coordinating Mix & Match products – the Christmas Greetings Cards & Envelopes, the Greetings for You Ephemera and the Christmas Tags & More Specialty DSP and you can see them all in the image above. These products are in traditional Christmas colours with Gold Foil detail on the cards & envelopes and the greetings.

This Christmas card in traditional colors is made with the Mix & Match products. It is bright and fresh with pops of gold.

I wanted to use the garland from one of the sheets of the Christmas Tags & More paper on my card. First up, I trimmed it from the sheet and adhered it to some Basic White cardstock. The image was fussy cut and popped up at the top of a panel of Basic White that was dry embossed with the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder. The sides were trimmed to the edge, but the garland is wide enough to fit across the card base if you are not having a border.

The red bauble was popped out from the sheet of pre-cut designs and I floofed it up a bit by adding a gold topper cut from a scrap of (retired) Gold Glimmer Paper using the Bauble Blooms Dies. Next up, gold metallic pearls were adhered in the centre of the diamonds before threading the (retired) Simply Elegant Twine through the hanger. The bauble was adhered with Dimensionals and the gold twine adhered under the garland. I popped up the holly pre-cut image on the bauble for a pop of green.

One of the gold foil greetings from the fabulous Greetings For You Ephemera was popped up on a strip of Garden Green cardstock at the bottom of the Basic White panel. I finished with a lovely red bow and a sprinkle of the gold metallic pearls on the garland. The finished panel was added to a Real Red card base.

For the inside, I have a white writing panel and I added the greeting from the Holly Jolly stamp set in the centre, stamped with Garden Green ink. For something a little different, I popped out the plaid banner and a small sprig in the same design as the garland. They were adhered to the top corner and I finished it off with a Gold Glimmer bow. The bow is from the Patterned Tags Dies and I cut down the loops to fit the scale of the embellishment.

I like contemporary Christmas colours, but the traditional colours are so festive!
