Heart of Christmas – More Peaceful Garden

Welcome to week 7 of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop for 2025. Each week until end of November, the talented ladies from the Art with Heart team are bringing you inspiration for your holiday craft projects.

This is a stunning Christmas card using the beautiful doves from Peaceful Garden DSP and the Peace on Earth Bundle.

This week I’m using my favourite Peaceful Garden DSP for this card. This paper is stunning for Christmas cards, but also equally fabulous for other occasions as well. I started with a Thick Basic White card base and added the Misty Moonlight star design paper. The centre panel is a strip of the Cloud Cover diamond design I trimmed with Cloud Cover glimmer paper.

For the centerpiece, I have cut the doves using the second largest square die from the nesting set in the Stylish Shapes Dies. It was positioned ‘on point’ or as a diamond shape, which reflects the shape in the background paper. My tip: position the die on the paper and then trace around it, so you can neatly cut it out and then crop it with the die. I found this out the hard way, thinking I could ‘eyeball’ it and then cut it too small. Because the paper is dark, I used a white gel pen for tracing. I trimmed the diamond with Cloud Cover Glimmer for yet more sparkle!

The diamond is popped up on 1mm foam pads except for the vertical points where I used Dimensionals to balance out the height. Some white foliage pieces cropped with a die from the Peace on Earth Dies was popped in the sides. A sweet bow in retired Silver & White Sheer Ribbon was added to the bottom point. I stamped the greeting from the Peach of Earth stamp set in Misty Moonlight and cut the ‘peace’ and ‘joy into separate pieces. I finished with the Christmas Star above the doves, cropped from Silver Foil.

For the inside, I added a strip of the star design paper at the bottom edge with a narrow border of the Cloud Cover Glimmer paper. For the panel above, I have some soft ink blending as a background for the sparkly white dove. The greeting from the Jolly Holly stamp set was stamped in Misty Moonlight ink.

  1. Judy I love the strips of glimmer paper for that ‘sparkle’ and how you have coordinated the diamond panel with the DSP. Beautiful card!

  2. Absolutely stunning! My husband and I celebrate both Christmas and Chanukkah, and I am going to make this card for him for Chanukkah. Thank you for your inspiration.

  3. What a lovely card, Judy. The diamond feature looks fantastic matted with the glimmer, and what a wonderful tip to cut it out perfectly. The inside is equally beautiful.
