CASE-ing the Catty – Expressions in Ink
Hi there
Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing the Catty!
If you've come from visiting Lauren, then welcome! If you're visiting me, I appreciate you stopping by today! You can continue your journey to see the other inspiring creations from the CTC Crew by clicking on the buttons at the bottom of the post.

This week our challenge is to CASE our favourite suite from the 2021-22 Annual Catalogue.
Expressions in Ink is one of my favourite suites from the current Annual Catalogue so it took all of 5 seconds to decide to CASE the card on the front cover. If the beautiful Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Paper isn't enough then the amazing detail in the DisInktive style stamps and Artistic Dies will allow you to create quick and beautiful cards.
I started with a Magenta Madness card base and added a layer of the beautiful Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Paper. I had this piece left from another project and with the large area of white on the right, I thought it would work perfectly to highlight the beautiful spray of leaves that I cut from the new Gold & Rose Gold 6" x 6" Metallic Specialty Paper. In the Stampin' Up! sample, they have added a piece of designer paper in Pale Papaya on the right side for contrast.
I cut a 3/4" strip of Basic White and used the Banners Pick A Punch to shape the end before stamping the birthday greeting from the Best Year stamp set in black (with the help of the Stamparatus to get it straight!). Positioned under the greeting is a strip of Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon and I popped it up over the gold leaf spray. The small flower and leaves from the Artistically Inked stamp set was stamped in Magenta Madness and Just Jade ink respectively and cropped with the coordinating dies from the Artistic Dies. They were positioned over the leaf spray and greeting strip and I added a little bit of gold foil foliage from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack and a sprinkle of Polished Pink jewels.

For the inside, I have a rectangular writing panel cut with the Stitched Rectangles Dies on the left and a strip of the white and gold foil striped designer paper on the right. The stamped flower, leaves and gold foil foliage embellish the corner.

Love the striped gold paper on the inside – it looks fabulous!! Love what you’ve created with this card and the layout is brilliant.
Oh, how pretty! I actually love your version over the catalogue one. The white space to the right looks nicer than the Papaya. Gorgeous card!
Stunning card! That DSP is perfect and the elements you put with it work so well together.
So simple, yet so stunning!! This dsp is a stand out on it’s own but with the gold leaves, it is gorgeous!
