Heart of Christmas – Night Divine
Welcome to another week of Heart of Christmas. Each week, the talented ladies from the Art with Heart team will bring you inspiration for your holiday craft projects.
This week I've had a play with 2 new products – the Patchwork Pieces Dies and the O Holy Night Suite. The Patchwork Pieces Dies are in the Annual Catalogue, but they are new in door for me.

I created the background for the beautiful embossed star with the Night of Navy Soft Shimmer Paper and the vanilla and gold design from the Shining Brightly Specialty DSP. I used the Patchwork Pieces Die to cut one from each colour and them put them back together in an alternating pattern on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, which I then added to a layer of Gold Foil. It was very challenging to photograph the card, but there is a lot of shine and sparkle in real life.

I hope you can see in this photo, more of the lovely sparkle of the Shimmer Paper. I used the Stars at Night Hybrid Embossing Folder to emboss and die cut the large star from Gold Foil, in one pass. It is beautifully detailed, so I decided not to layer over it too much, just adding the long, slim star cut from the Night of Navy Shimmer paper. To finish, I added the larger of the stars from the Adhesive-Back Star Trinkets that work perfectly for the centre. The greeting from the Night Divine stamp set was stamped at the base of the Very Vanilla card base before the art panel was adhered with Adhesive Foam Strips for a firm finish.
For the inside, I have a mat of Night of Navy Shimmer Paper for the writing panel (I did cut out the centre!), with a strip of the Night of Navy gold star design from the Shining Brightly Specialty DSP at the base. In the top corner I have one of the smaller stars in navy and the small gold star trinket adhered in the centre. The greeting from the Brightest Glow stamp set compliments the 'joy and peace' on the front.

Lovely, Judy. This is such a beautiful, elegant, colour combo that I know I am going to enjoy creating with this year. I’d forgotten about the Night of Navy shimmer paper; it’s glorious! Lovely complement to the DSP you’ve used.
Stunning card Judy, the Shimmery Night of Navy and the Gold DSP look fabulous together.
Totally stunning!

So so gorgeous Judy. I love your use of one of the quilting dies – the alternated Speciality Papers is delightful. Your addition of a navy shimmer star at the centre of the embossed star is gorgeous and especially so with the gold star trinket on top. Stunning. xxx
Judy the patchwork die works perfectly with the star. Your card is so elegant. I love the NofN, VV and gold together. A different but beautiful Christmas palette.
