Heart of Christmas – Joy of Noel

Hi there

Welcome to final  week of Heart of Christmas for 2023. I hope you have enjoyed the seasonal inspiration from the talented ladies from the Art with Heart team.

My day didn't go as planned, but no matter, I have a quick and easy card for you, which we all need as we near the time when cards have to go into the post. I have a white on white card, with the top layer dry embossed with the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder and added to a mat with a very tiny border and then popped up onto the Basic White card base.

I stamped the spray from Joy of Noel with Basic Gray ink so it wouldn't look quite so heavy and then coloured it with Stampin' Blends Markers in Shaded Spruce, Granny Apple Green and Real Red. At the top, I created a bit more of a stem, where I could attach my sweet gingham bow. Some pine branches cropped from Vellum Cardstock were tucked under the spray to add some interest.  Finally, the greeting from the Merry and Bright stamp set was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and fussy cut and adhered flat and popped up.

I'm heading off to visit family in Western Australia for a few weeks, but I hope to be back with a few more seasonal cards before the big man arrives!

  1. So pretty, Judy. The white-on-white classic look is so beautiful, and I love the subtlety of the vellum die-cuts. Gingham works for any occasion … and I love that you’ve used black and white, to complement the sentiment. This is a beautiful card. Have a great time in W.A. x

  2. Judy I love the crisp fresh look of your card with the snowflake embossed. background. Great use of the stamped sentiment in black ink to match the black and white checked ribbon
