CASE-ing the Catty – Farewell Holiday Mini Catalogue

Hello crafty friends!
Welcome to CASE-ing the Catty for 2026. It has been a long while between posts as we were overseas for 5 weeks and returned a few days before Christmas. I’m feeling ‘rusty’ in a lot of respects, but happy to get back on my creative bike!

If you’ve come from visiting Monique, then welcome! If you’re visiting me, I appreciate you stopping by today! You can continue your journey to see the other inspiring creations from the CTC Crew by clicking on the button at the bottom of the post.
For our first week back we are saying farewell to the 2025 September-December Mini Catalogue. All of the products from this Catalogue that are retiring are now found in the Last Chance Section of my Online Store.
The new 2026 January – April Mini Catalogue is LIVE to customers on Tuesday 6 January, 2026.
Current customers with a Stampin’ Up! account should have already received their complimentary copy of the catalogue in the post. If you didn’t receive a Mini Catalogue or would like one, please get in touch and I’ll pop one in the post.

I chose the project in the photo above from page 60 of the 2025 September-December Catalogue. This is a simple but versatile layout and I have used variations of it, often.

I decided on a masculine card today, using the Happy Place stamp set, which I’ve inked up for the first time. There are a lot of colouring options for this graphic stamp. I’ve chosen to use a single colour in Blueberry Bushel. I like that you get a nice sky background and the silhouette of the palm trees. All of this shading comes from just one impression of the stamp.

I started with the Secret Sea chevron design from the NEW Mixed Up Patterns 12 x 12 Mix-In DSP. This pack is a new offering of versatile patterns and colours to coordinate with most of the new Suite Collections in the new Mini Catalogue. For a pop of masculine colour I chose Blue Bushel to frame the lighter Secret Sea wood grain looking design. I tore the bottom edge of the paper to expose more of the Blueberry Bushel.
I stamped the HAPPY image in Blueberry Bushel ink and fussy cut around the image, leaving a narrow border. The image was popped up slightly to the left, leaving some extra room for the ‘BIRTHDAY’. The smaller greeting is from the Simply Said stamp set, also stamped in Blue Bushel.
To dress it up a little, I have the added the birds from the Sunrise Sailing Dies and foliage from the Charming Day Dies (Last Chance). The black Baker’s Twine underlines the greetings and adds texture.

For the inside, I have the Secret Sea chevron paper at the top and bottom, with the writing panel framed in the centre of the Blueberry Bushel panel. I stamped the greeting from the retired Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set in Blueberry Bushel ink. The foliage was cropped from the lighter woodgrain design.

The good news is that the Happy Place stamp set will continue to be available for the next period of time. I think it is perfect for masculine birthday and retirement occasions.
