CASE-ing the Catty – Valentine Kisses

Hi there,
Welcome to CASE-ing the Catty for this week.
If you’ve come from visiting Monique, then welcome! If you’re visiting me, I appreciate you stopping by today! You can continue your journey to see the other inspiring creations from the CTC Crew by clicking on the button at the bottom of the post.

This week we are CASE-ing a project from the Made with Love Suite from the 2026 January – April Mini Catalogue. You can find the samples on pages 30 -33. If you do not already have a Demonstrator (in Australia) and would like your own complimentary hard copy of the new mini catalogue, then fill in your details on the Request Catalogues page (click on the link) on my blog.Â

I chose the project in the photo above from page 30 of the 2026 January – April Mini Catalogue. I’m not a big fan of Valentine’s Day as an occasion for giving cards other than for your significant other. I decided to go with a fun, feminine birthday card instead. I’ve used a little of the Made With Love DSP that I received in a paper share.

I chose 2 of the designs from the Made With Love DSP and added them to the Basic White layer. The new Lovely Stripes 3D Embossing Folder adds texture to the background, with the de-bossed side facing up. This embossing folder deeply etches the card stock. I suggest you lightly spritzed it first to soften the fibres a little.

I wrapped some white Baker’s Twine around the panel before adhering it to the Pretty in Pink card base. Bubble Bath is the colour listed to coordinate with the patterned paper, but I think Pretty in Pink is a better match. The bear and bouquet images from the Valentine Kisses stamp set were stamped in Early Espresso ink. The images are quick and easy to colour with Stampin’ Blends Alcohol markers. There is a coordinating die to crop the bear and the bouquet. The die cleverly cuts the angle of the bear’s paws and under arms so that the bouquet can slot in easily.
The birthday greeting is from the new Framed All Around stamp set. I stamped it in Poppy Parade ink and cropped it with a circle from the Stylish Shapes Die. To add some definition to the edge, I rolled the circle around in the ink pad. Both the bear and greeting were popped up on Dimensionals. For extra detail I popped up the sweet little bird on the greeting.

I’ve kept the inside super simple, with a Basic White writing panel with a strip of the heart patterned paper down the side.
