Some of old Mojo…

Hi again,

It is freezing cold and pouring down with rain here in Melbourne on a wintery holiday Monday afternoon. So glad that I won’t be fighting my way home from work in it – that will be for tomorrow instead!  We really need the rain desperately to fill the water storages, so I’m not begrudging it.

After spending the morning doing chores, I have put together this card based on an old Mojo Monday Week #73 sketch from back in February. I am having a bit of a fling with Basic Gray at the moment, but it just goes so well with all of the current In Colors.  I have used the bird from Friends 24-7 stamp set again as it is such a classic image. The rest is pretty self evident.  It think this is a gender neutral card that is handy to have in your card stash.

Edited to add:

I had some of the pink brocade background left from a previous card, so I decided to create the same design in pink. This time I kept the main elements flat and then stamped and cut out the bird and raised it on foam tape to give it a 3-D effect.

  1. Very sweet, Judy! You can’t go wrong with those beautiful colours, and stamps. I am stunned by the perfection of your cut, of the ribbon and card (flag end)!! (Mind you, I expect nothing less, my friend.) Glad you got some creating time on this wintery long weekend; it’s lovely to see your cards on here. Christine xx
