Roses for Mojo Monday #87

Hi Everyone

Well, after a late night (or more correctly an early morning) on Thursday working on my blog and then a late night on Friday stamping with friends, I was repaid with a nasty migraine on Saturday that kept me confined to bed for the day.  I’m back on deck now to share with you the card I made on Friday night for the Mojo Monday Week #87 Sketch.   The Mojo Monday sketches allow you to focus on bringing all of the elements of the card together without agonising over the design because they have done that already!

This is a great sketch that I know I will use again as it lends itself to heaps of options with both stamps and designer papers.  I have combined the Bella Rose Designer Series Paper and the Rose Is a Rose stamp set again, using some of the other rose images in the set to show you how versatile it is. I have stamped the large and small rose buds in Riding Hood Red with Kiwi Kiss for the leaves and then arranged them on the background cut with Nestabilities circle and scallop circle dies. The small bud has been mounted on foam tape for some extra depth.

I love punching out the sentiment, because it doesn’t matter if you don’t get it perfectly straight when you stamp – you can adjust it when you punch it out.
