Painted Petals Friendship
Hello
Today I have a very CAS card for you, using the lovely new 'Painted Petals' stamp set. This is definitely one of my favourites from the new Occasions Catalogue.
I have chosen to purchase this stamp set in photopolymer as the see-through stamps make it so easy to position the stamps precisely without using a stampamajig. However, you can also purchase it in wood mount and clear mount if you prefer.
The stamps have their own built-in shading, which is amazing. Using just one colour of ink pad you get an multi-toned image that gives a painterly result to your image (probably the reason why it is called 'Painted Petals!). Anyway, here is my card.

I love the sentiment – perfect for a friendship card. I have used the Simply Pressed Clay and flower mold to make the embellishment on the linen thread bow.
For the inside I have created a little border of flowers on top of the stripes that look like they have been hand drawn. After stamping the stripes, I have masked them off so I could stamp the stems lower to make them shorter. I have stamped 2 generations of the little flowers and then re-inked the stamp and did 2 more until the end of the row.
This could also become a birthday card by adding a sentiment on the inside.
