More Merry Monday #44
Hi there
I hope you are enjoying your weekend. It is much milder here in Melbourne today thankfully, after a hot day yesterday. I've been busy doing chores in the garden like dead-heading and trimming the edges of the lawn. Not exciting, but it is lovely to look at when it is done.
While I had the bits and peices on my craft desk a couple of days ago, I made a second card using the colours of this week's Merry Monday #44 Challenge. Here they are again to remind you:
I have a reprise of my circle tree card from 2011 and I think I like it more in these colours, than the original. It is fresher and brighter somehow, maybe it is the extra white space at the bottom. What do you think?
I have decorated the inside similiar to the last card, using the alternative Delicate Designs embossing folder.
| Project Details | |
| Stamps | Greetings of the Season, Tree Trimmings (Retired) |
| Card stock & Papers | Island Indigo, Pool Party, Real Red, Whisper White textured (retired), Silver and Red Glimmer paper |
| Ink | Pool Party, Real Red, Versamark |
| Accessories | 2mm Rhinestones (not SU), 1/4" Real Red Stitched Grosgrain ribbon |
| Tools | Delicate Designs & Petals a Plenty Embossing Folders, Big Shot, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch, Small star punch (retired), Merry Minis punch pack, 'Rich Red' embossing powder (not SU), Heat gun, Dimensionals |
Thanks for looking!

Love your card, Judy! I really like the embossed circle! Adds so much interest and makes it fun!
This is fantastic and in my CASE file! The inside is wonderful too! Thanks, Judy, for sharing it with us at Merry Monday! It’s so good to see you back!
Judy, I loved your first card every time I say it (I think it’s very popular on Pinterest) and now this one is even better!
Fabulous, fun, fantstic, love every detail Judy. Thanks for joining us at Merry Monday for our first challenge for 2013.
I love both the original and this new version Judy. I particularly like the cut out sentiment on the newer one.
Wonderful way to use the colours Judy! Love that textured paper behind the tree and the embossing on the circles, so much to look at and appreciate!
Great card Judy, I love your button tree. Thank you for joining us for Merry Monday this week.
