Merry Monday #35

Hi there

I'm on a bit of a run with Christmas cards at the moment, so I am pleased to be a Guest Designer for Merry Monday #35 this week.  Lesley has prepared another great sketch to inspire us, so get those stamps inked up.  Here is the sketch:

I have put together some of my favourite colours to come up with a more contemporary Christmas look this week. I have stamped the main image from the 'Come to Bethlehem' stamp set in Midnight Muse. I love the result you get with the new ink pads on solid stamps. I clear embossed the image, although it isn't really apparent in the photo, which made it easier to sponge the background. I punched out a large oval and trimmed it down to use as a mask for the star and later used the negative to emboss it with Irridescent Ice embossing powder.
