In the Pink…
Hi there
Pink is one of my all time favourite colours to wear and to use in cardmaking. This card I want to share with you was inspired by my stamping friend and Upline Claire Daly. ‘Upsy Daisy’ is one of the popular new ‘silhouette’ style stamp sets in the 2009-10 Stampin’ Up! Catalogue. It lends itself to all kinds of techniques from normal inking to Stampin’ Write markers, embossing, emboss resist, watercolour and shadow effects.
For this card the whole stamp was inked with Pink Pirouette and then Bravo Burgundy dabbed on with a sponge dauber (these are wonderfully versatile little items with all manner of uses!) and stamped onto Whisper White cardstock. Some Dazzling Diamonds glitter was added with a Zig Glue Pen for a bit of sparkle. I have matted the image onto more Pink Pirouette cardstock, added some Bravo Burgundy grosgrain ribbon and then matted again onto Bravo Burgundy cardstock which has been edged with the lovely new Eyelet Border punch.
The sentiment is from the Curly Label Punch Bundle. This set contains the punch and 4 very versatile stamps that compliment the shape – it is great value. The punch also works well with many other sentiment stamps in the Stampin’ Up! Catalogue. I have hand cut the Bravo Burgundy mat for the punched sentiment. Here is the finished product – I hope you like it.

Just popped over from Claire’s blog. This is one lovely card. I love the colours you picked and I’m not really a glitter girl, but this works for me!!
Welcome to blogland Judy! Love the touch of sparkle on this card. Cheers, Sue
