Heart of Christmas – Week 5
Welcome to Week 5 of Heart of Christmas with the Art with Heart Stampin' Up! team.
This week I'm using the fabulous So Many Stars Bundle, inspired by a card made by my team member Wendy Ross. I love monochrome cards and blue and silver is one of my favourite colour combos for Christmas. This is such a fabulous bundle and not just for Christmas.
This time I have chosen Blueberry Bushel, which has a nice bright vibe and a square card base (again!). The centre panel has been layered onto a mat of Sparkle Glimmer paper and adhered to the card.
I have die cut the star swirl from the Stitched Stars Dies in Silver Glimmer, cut it in half and positioned it diagonally under the popped up Silver Foil star. The next layer is the silver embossed star and finally the die cut Blueberry Bushel star, also popped up and topped with a medium Clear Faceted Gem. I've added some of the stars that came out of the swirl die cut on either side. The greeting from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set was stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink and cropped with the smallest of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

For the inside, I have a Silver Foil mat to my writing panel. I heat embossed some stars in silver at the top and added a narrow strip of Silver Glimmer at the base. The final touch is a die cut Blueberry Bushel star with a smaller Silver Glimmer star in the centre.
I really liked how this card turned out, so I made another in Gorgeous Grape and silver. Which one do you prefer?

OOOH! Judy I really loved the Blueberry bushel one and then the gorgeous grape one showed up and now I don’t know they are both fabulous!
Absolutely gorgeous, Judy! I must admit to liking the blue one a little better, but only because it’s my favourite colour!
Great cards for Christmas. I like the blue one best but the purple is pretty too. Thanks for sharing how to make these cards.
A special thanks for sharing an inside message and decorated so nicely too!
I absolutely love your cards, Judy, but now I have to have these stars!!
I’m not sure that I can choose a favourite, I like both colours, they both allow the silver to pop.

Such beautiful detail on your gorgeous card Judy. How versatile are our dies when we can use the leftover cut outs?! Blueberry Bushel and silver looks amazing together – so vibrant!
Love this card, it just pops off the page with either of your color choices. Thank you for sharing… I am going to have to add this to my Christmas list!
