Heart of Christmas – Angels of Peace

Heart of Christmas Header 2021Hi there

Welcome to Heart of Christmas for 2021. Each week (until mid-December), the talented ladies from the Art with Heart team will  bring you inspiration for your holiday craft projects.

The lovely Angels of Peace stamp set arrived recently, so I have used it to create my card this week

Stampin' Up! Angels of Peace | Judy May, Just Judy Designs
I started by adhering a piece of the mottled blue design from the Beauty Of The Earth Designer Paper to a piece of Basic White. This paper has the look of a blue sky, so I thought it would be an appropriate background for my angel. I ran the panel through with the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder and then used a sponge dauber and Craft White ink to gently sponge over the music notes to help define them a little more.

The large angel was stamped in Night of Navy ink onto a piece of Basic White and the dress was coloured with Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends. I used a glue pen to add (retired) Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to the wings for a lovely sparkle. The image was fussy cut on the line and popped up on the stitched greeting panel. I did want to use the 'hark the herald angels sing' from the For Unto Us stamp set, but its whereabouts escaped me today. I finished with a trio of rhinestones.
