Friends 24-7

Well, it wasn’t as creatively productive a weekend as I was hoping, but sometimes it is just like that!  The card that I want to share with you today is very pink even for a self-confessed pink loving person. The design for this card is based on the Mojo Monday Week # 88 sketch with the stamp set Friends 24-7. The base card is 15 cm x 15 cm in Basic Grey to give myself a bit more ‘real estate’ to work with.  I really love square cards, even though they cost a bit more to post.

I have stamped the top portion with the brocade diamond in Pretty in Pink onto Pink Pirouette cardstock. The Stamp-a-ma-jig is fantastic for getting the positioning spot-on. The bottom portion is the Polka Dot background stamped in Pretty in Pink with the grey taffeta ribbon across the centre. I have stamped the bird in Basic Grey on to Whisper White and then cut it out with the circle Nestabilities. I stamped a second bird image and cut out the body and mounted it with foam tape for a paper tole effect. This has been mounted on the pink scallop circle which has been popped up with Dimensionals onto the grey scallop circle, both cut with Nestabilities. The sentiment has been stamped with Basic Grey and then punched out with the Stampin’ Up! Circle punch and popped up on a Basic Grey mat. This is a very 3-D card!  Here are the full details.

  1. Judy, I LOVE this card. The basic gray complements the pink beautifully, so it’s not ‘too’ pink at all. The sketch is perfect for your style of card. Beautiful, beautiful work, my friend.

  2. I love it Judy. It is pink but subtly (is that a word?) so, great teamed with the grey. Love the stamped brocade, it just makes any card elegant.
