Freshly Made #46

Wow, another month has come and gone. It seems like yesterday we were at Convention and now we are on the cusp of the new 2012-13 Catalogue. The card I have for you today has a few sneak peeks of some new goodies that will be coming soon.
I have used this week's Freshly Made #46 sketch for a birthday card for a special friend. Here is the sketch: 
For the main panel, I've used the 'Pleasant Poppies' stamp set that is new for the 2012-13 Catalogue. This is a single large stamp, but I have chosen to stamp one section of the stamp twice, masking a flower and bud to give a more realistic grouping. The Crumb Cake background has also been stamped with the image in Crumb Cake ink to mirror the main panel. Other new items are the lovely 'Fancy Fan' embossing folder that produces a beautiful crisp result on card stock and the large scallop Edgelit.
'Poppy Parade' and black produces a really vibrant colour combo, so I have toned it down with the Crumb Cake background and some 'bling' finishes it off.
