Freshly Made #32

Hi there

There was another great sketch from Freshly Made Sketches this week.  As soon as I saw it, I knew that I wanted to place a bright Gerbera in the circle position. I have been wanting to make one of these for ages and this was the perfect excuse.  Here is the sketch:

I have used the 'Cheerful Treat' DSP with a Melon Mambo Gerbera for a bright combination. For the centre of the Gerbera I have put Crystal Effects onto a pewter 'Build a Brad' and then sprinkled champagne glass glitter over the top.  It adds some subtle sparkle. I die cut 5 layers of large petals for the base and 6 layers of small petals for the centre, from the Daisies #2 die (not available in Australia), to give it lots of depth. The Melon Mambo petals have been sponged on the tips and in the centre, although you can't see this on the photo.  I had lots of chores today, so the photo was taken in artificial light, unfortunately.

  3. Well, this is a lovely GERbera (that’s said with a hard ‘g’, LOL). I love the colours you’ve used for the flower, Judy – and the tip for the glittery centre is a good one. I have LOTS of that glitter to use up! The little white bow is precious, and I do like the sentiment flag too.
