Floral Sympathy
Hi there,
I can’t believe how quickly the weekend has gone. What with the usual chores, raking up leaves etc etc the time has just disappeared. Unfortunately Peter had need for a Sympathy card – not something I keep in my card stash so I had to come up with something quickly so he could get it in the mail before attending the funeral on Wednesday. I have kept it really simple, using the Lily image from the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set. The base card is very vanilla (although it looks white in the photo) with the next layer being the So Saffron DSP trimmed with More Mustard and the Martha Stewart decorative punch. The flowers have been stamped in Not Quite Navy on to Very Vanilla cardstock and cut out. The stamens were coloured with Stampin’ Write markers in So Saffron and More Mustard. I have left one flower flat and the other raised on dimensionals on the Bella Bleu DSP, matted in Not Quite Navy. The small flat back pearls in the corners help to finish it off.

That’s a lovely card Judy, although I am very sorry to hear Peter needed a sympathy card.
Your creation is beautiful, Judy – clean lines and elegant. I am sure it will be appreciated by the recipient. Can I just say that your cutting out (of the flowers) is AMAZING?
Sorry to hear the need for a sympathy card, but love the elegant design. Those pearls in the corners looks lovely.
