CASE-ing the Catty - Pretty Poinsettias

This week we are CASE-ing our favourite stamp set from the 2026 May-August Catalogue, which finishes tomorrow 31 August.

I chose the project in the photo above from page 38 of the 2026 May-August Catalogue for my inspiration today. The card uses the Boutique Blossoms Bundle, which is super flexible with outline images to colour or you can use the fill-in stamps if colouring isn’t your thing. Plus, there are extra floral and foliage detail dies, if you just want to use die cuts.

I’ve taken the layout from the the sample card and changed it up using some new products from the 2026 September-December Catalogue that commences on 1 September (only 2 sleeps, yay!). I started with a Cloud Cover card base and added a panel of the lovely multi-coloured plaid from the All Wrapped Up Specialty DSP at the top. This is a heavier weight paper with a slightly shiny finish and silver foil accents. Next is a narrow border of Misty Moonlight before the dry embossed panel of Cloud Cover on the bottom section of the card. I used my new favourite Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder and it is also a very fine plaid design that will add an elegant touch to any project.

This pretty Christmas card was created with the Pretty Poinsettia Bundle and All Wrapped Up Specialty DSP.

The focus of my card is a beautiful Real Red Poinsettia flower created with the Pretty Poinsettia Bundle. I have used the Impressions Plate to bring extra dimension to the red petals. You can see the contrast with the Peaceful Pine leaves that show the veins but doesn’t have the ‘puffed’ look of the petals. Using the Impressions Plate is a second step after die cutting the petals, but definitely worth the extra effort. There is a sheet of foliage in the All Wrapped Up Specialty DSP that can be cropped with the coordinating Wrapped Greenery Dies and that is what I have used to add extra fullness to the Poinsettia.

The multi-part greeting is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on Basic White and I popped it up on 1mm foam pads for a little extra dimension. The greeting is from last year’s Jolly Holly stamp set and is the perfect size for this style of greeting. To finish, I added a trio of red sequins from the retired Traditional Sparkling Sequins.

For the inside I have a strip of the All Wrapped Up Specialty DSP at the bottom. I cropped one of the partial images from the edge of the DSP and added it to the edge of the writing panel.
