CASE-ing the Catty – Bloom Boutique Suite

Hi there,
Welcome to CASE-ing the Catty for this week.Â
If you’ve come from visiting Peta & Marvi, then welcome! If you’re visiting me, I appreciate you stopping by today! You can continue your journey to see the other inspiring creations from the CTC Crew by clicking on the button at the bottom of the post.
I arrived home earlier this week after a wonderful 6 weeks overseas, split between Japan and Canada. Both destinations were fabulous in different ways, but I have to say the scenery in British Columbia is absolutely awe inspiring! I also enjoyed Vancouver Island and would love to go back for a longer visit. To finish our trip on a high, we had a very proper English High Tea at the Fairmont Empress in Victoria. It was delightful!

I’m feeling very out of practice, but decided to jump right in on this week’s hop focusing on the beautiful Bloom Boutique Suite. I think this is one of the highlights in the 2026 May-August Catalogue. It is a mega suite with 2 bundles, specialty patterned paper with gold foil accents, embellishments and packaging.

The cards in the photo below, are the highlight of page 17 and both are lovely.

I decided on a mashup of both cards using the Boutique Blossoms stamp set and the Scalloped Blooms Dies.

As you can see, I have taken the background layout from the gold card with a pretty design from the Bloom Boutique Specialty Designer Paper layered onto a Hydrangea Hue card base. This is a gorgeous colour that has already become a favourite. I added the narrow bands of Gold Foil at end to complement the gold foil accents in the paper

I took a piece of Basic White that was dry embossed with the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder and cropped it with the second largest of the nesting scalloped circle dies from the Scalloped Blooms Dies. Every alternate die has the lovely pieced edge. The large flowers, leaves, small flowers and buds from the Boutique Blossoms stamp set were heat embossed in gold on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. I used Hydrangea Hue and Peaceful Pine ink with a Water Painter to watercolour the floral elements and fussy cut them on the line. The leaf sprays were cropped from Peaceful Pine cardstock. It looks quite a lot darker in the photo, than in real life.
I arranged the floral elements and added the greeting from the Friendly Foliage stamp set that was stamped in Secret Sea ink. Golden Glow In Color Dots were added to the centre of the small flowers to give them pop and I decided not to add any other embellishments.

For the inside I have a white writing panel with a narrow border of Gold Foil and patterned paper at the base. Another watercoloured flower and leaves were added over the border, to finish.

Gorgeous card, Judy!!! I love how you heat embossed the flowers in gold before water coloring! It really sets-off the flowers nicely, mimics the gold strips & makes water coloring much easier! I just ordered this DSP & the Hydrangea Hue cardstock & ink. Someone said Hydrangea Hue coordinates well with the retired Orchid Oasis.
Thanks for sharing!!!
