CASE-ing the Catty – Traditional Wreath Bauble

Hi there,

Welcome to CASE-ing the Catty for this week.

If you’ve come from visiting Rochelle, then welcome!  If you’re visiting me, I appreciate you stopping by today! You can continue your journey to see the other inspiring creations from the CTC Crew by clicking on the button at the bottom of the post.

This week we are CASE-ing an Embossing Folder project from the 2025 September-December Mini Catalogue. I’ve had the Traditional Wreath 3D Embossing Folder for a few weeks, but haven’t used it yet. This challenge seemed like the perfect opportunity to pull it out.

I chose the project in the photo above from page 24 of the Mini Catalogue. It has the wreath partially embossed on the front of the card with an embellishment in the centre.

This is a beautifully elegant Christmas card in blue tones, using the Traditional Wreath 3D Embossing Folder for the background.

I chose to go for a square card to suit the symmetry of the wreath. Starting at the centre, I embossed the Basic White panel with the Traditional Wreath 3D Embossing Folder and added it to the Cloud Cover Glimmer paper mat for lots of sparkle. This panel was popped up on the square Cloud Cover card base.

My favourite sheet from the Peaceful Garden DSP is the navy foliage design with the tiny white flowers. It reminds me a bit of Eucalyptus leaves in shape. I cropped the bauble using the Bauble Blooms Dies and added the Cloud Cover Glimmer hanger to the top. The bauble is a lovely shape and the pierced edge really steps it up (although you can’t see it very well in the pics). The foliage was cropped from Cloud Cover card stock using the Peace on Earth Dies. I popped up the bauble in the centre of the wreath and slipped the foliage under the sides.

The dove was cropped from (retired) Sparkle Glimmer and it just adds so much to the final look. The greetings from the Peace on Earth stamp set were stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on Cloud Cover card stock. I cropped the longest greeting into two pieces to fit around the bauble.

For the inside I have kept the dimensions the same as the front, but with a Misty Moonlight mat for the writing panel. I added some soft ink blending in the corner and adhered a strip of the patterned paper at the base. The greeting from the Ornamental Christmas stamp set was stamped in Misty Moonlight ink. To finish, I adhered another Sparkle Glimmer dove in the corner with the Cloud Cover glimmer sprig.
