CASE-ing the Catty – Gallery Blooms Quick & Easy

Hi there,
Welcome to CASE-ing the Catty for this week.

This week we are CASE-ing the Quick & Easy Options from the 2025- 2026 Annual Catalogue. These fun projects use the epherma packs you can see on page 29 of the catalogue.

I chose the project in the photo above from page 27 of the 2025-2026 Annual Catalogue. Most of the quick and easy options are based on an arrangement of a small number of images in a cluster. This fun Halloween card caught my eye.

So rather than ephemera, I wanted to use some die cuts to create my quick & easy card. First, I started with a Basic White card base and then popped up the Cloud Cover Panel. The panel of Cloud Cover card stock was dry embossed with the Damask Designs Embossing Folder which has a lovely delicate all-over pattern. I adhered it to a Secret Sea mat before popping it up onto the card base with Black Dimensionals. Using the black Dimensionals on dark card stock really makes it look like it is floating.
I stamped two of the open flower image from the Gallery Blooms stamp set in Secret Sea ink and cropped them with the coordinating die. Detailed images such as these look fabulous stamped in black or dark neutral colour, to let the beautiful artwork shine. A Cloud Cover Stampin’ Blends marker was used to add a touch of colour to the flowers. The foliage was cropped from Basic White with a die from the Beautiful Motifs set and I cut it into pieces.

One of the floral images was cut apart, so the cluster of 3 flowers was adhered first with the top one popped up. The foliage was slipped in under the flowers and then the greeting popped up on top. I added a little silver foil heart to the end of it. The greeting from the Inspiring Imperfections stamp set was heat embossed in white and cut into a strip. This the perfect heartfelt sentiment when you are responding to difficult news. I finished with a trio Iridescent Pearls.

For the inside, I have a Secret Sea mat for the writing panel with the other half of the cut-apart image in the left corner with a little white foliage. I’ve stamped the complimentary greeting from the Inspiring Imperfections stamp set next to the arrangement.

We all need a couple of these ‘difficult news’ cards in our stash so we can support family and friends when times get tough. Isn’t the detail in the Damask Designs embossing folder beautiful?
