CASE-ing the Catty – It’s the New Mini Catty!
Hi there
Happy New Year! Welcome to another year of CASE-ing the Catty and the brand new 2024 January – April Mini Catalogue.
All of my active customers should already have received their complimentary copy of the Mini Catalogue and Sale-a-bration brochure in the post. If you are in Australia and do not have an active Demonstrator, then fill in your details on my Request Catalogues page and I'll pop them in the post to you.
If you've come from visiting Monique, then welcome! If you're visiting me, I appreciate you stopping by today! You can continue your journey to see the other inspiring creations from the CTC Crew by clicking on the button at the bottom of the post.
This week we get to ch0ose any project from the Mini Catalogue to CASE.

I've chosen the project above from page 64 of the 2024 January-April Mini Catalogue. I like the layout with the asymetrical cut of the designer series paper and use of the large image from the Stippled Blossoms stamp set, stamped in a single colour. When we see line images, we automatically think that colouring is required, but with the amazing shading in this image, colouring is definitely optional!
For the background, I've used 2 designs from the beautiful Perennial Lavender DSP – the mottled Gorgeous Grape design at the top and the Lost Lagoon/Shaded Spruce foliage design at the bottom. For the top section I have dry embossed with the new Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder. This folder creates a deeply etched design, so I adhered the designer paper to Basic White card stock first and spritzed it lightly with water on the back. In hindsight Thick Basic White would have been better as I still had some cracking on the designer paper, but I was able to turn it the other way, so it is under the rose.
I added a couple of pieces of the retired Iridescent Ribbon under the large rose image that was stamped in Highland Heather ink and cropped with the corresponding die. Foliage was cropped from Vellum Cardstock and layered under the rose at the top and under the birthday greeting. The rose image was popped up on Dimensionals. The greeting from the Stippled Roses stamp set was heat embossed on white on Gorgeous Grape card stock with one end flagged and the other straight against the edge of the card. I added some Iridescent Pearls to finish.
For the inside, I have a mat of Highland Heather for the Basic White writing panel and in the bottom corner I've added the small rose that was stamped in Highland Heather ink and cropped with the coordinating die.

Your purple version of this card is so beautiful. I love the leafy paper at the bottom of the card, and the vellum leaves are a great choice. Fabulous card!
wow, the combination with the lavendar paper is so pretty!! What a lovely card.
