CASE-ing the Catty – Kit Project
Hi there
Welcome to another week of CASE-ing the Catty challenge!
If you've come from visiting Sandra, then welcome! If you're visiting me, I appreciate you stopping by today! You can continue your journey to see the other inspiring creations from the CTC Crew by clicking on the buttons at the bottom of the post.
This week we are CASE-ing a project from a kit from either the 2020-21 Annual Catalogue or the 2020 August-December Mini Catalogue.
This week, I've taken the opportunity to break open my Boho Indigo Product Medley from page 9 of the Annual Catalogue. I am a sucker for blue and white and I have a large collection of Wedgewood and Spode china to show for it. There is something about it that just draws my eye. Do you have colours that do that for you? My inspiration is the card in the photo above, which is a note card size and quite clean and simple.
I started with a Very Vanilla card base and added one of the darker designs from the paper pack that comes with the Boho Indigo Product Medley. I chose a darker design so that my collection of vases would pop a little more.
For my focus panel, I have dry embossed a piece of Very Vanilla with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder and cropped it with a Stitched Rectangle Die, cutting a second time to extend it and give an even border on my C6 metric card. I adhered it to a Gold Foil mat and then layered up my decorative elements. The large basket was heat embossed in gold and the floral vase was stamped in Night of Navy and the small vase was cropped from a scrap of Misty Moonlight that had been dry embossed with the Tasteful Texture 3D Embossing Folder. The blue flower was fussy cut from the reverse side of the designer paper I used for the background and the gold foil foliage is from the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper. I finished with the flagged banner with the greeting from Fancy Phrases stamped in Garden Green ink.

Such a lovely card. I love all of the elements you have used. I love blue and white too.
Judy, I just LOVE your jewelry box idea! My daughter wants a jewelry box & I plan to make this for her. Thanks for this great idea!!
Beautiful card, and amazing fussy cutting! I too was just drawn to this product medley, the combo of the night of navy and very vanilla with the faded denim look really appealed to me. I need to use it more I think.
Perfect! I love the gold foil die cuts in the vase too – fabulous idea. And the fussy cutting is amazing! So much attention to detail makes this a gorgeous card.
The blue ds paper along with the blue & white vase make this sweet card pop.
As a fellow sucker for all things blue & white, I very much love this card 🙂 I love all the pops of gold and the texture from the embossing. Very beautiful.
Your trio of vases look fantastic, Judy. The blues and greens all work so nicely together, and the touches of gold add a lovely luxe feel. I’m a sucker for blue and white, too.
Wow so many gorgeous details!! I love the textures with the embossing and layers.
