CASE-ing the Catty – Favourite Retiring Stamp Set
Hi there
Happy Mother's Day to all the Mum's who are enjoying some extra TLC today. I hope you've had a lovely day. I was able to visit my Mum in WA last week and left her my card to open today.
As we get towards the end of the Occasions Catalogue period, the CTC Crew are CASE-ing their favourite retiring stamp set.
If you've come from looking at the lovely project on Peta's blog, then welcome! If you're visiting me, I appreciate you stopping by today! You can continue your journey to see the other inspiring creations from the CTC Crew by clicking on the buttons at the bottom of the post.

I have lots of favourite sets from the Occasions Catalogue that are retiring, so I've chosen Climbing Roses Bundle for my card this week. It is still available to purchase, while stocks last.
My inspiration comes from the card above on page 9 of the Occasions Catalogue. I've been wanting to CASE this one for a while, so I'm glad I have the opportunity today.
I've used all of the same elements as the sample card, but changed it up a bit. I started with a Gorgeous Grape card base and added a layer of thick Whisper White that I dry embossed with the Subtle embossing folder. This adds interest and texture without making the finished card look too busy. The large rose image from the Climbing Roses cling stamp set was stamped in Early Espresso ink to give a more subtle outline and I then coloured it with Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. The coloured image was cropped with the coordinating die from Rose Trellis Thinlits.
The background to the floral image is the lattice that I have die cut in Silver Glimmer to add some sparkle and I positioned it on the right side of the card. The greeting from the Dear Doily stamp set (also retiring) was heat embossed on the Highland Heather die cut label and popped under the floral image. The small coloured rose was added to the corner of the greeting label and some scattered rhinestones finish it off.

For the inside I have added a strip of the Highland Heather gingham designer paper at the bottom and added a narrow strip of Silver Glimmer to border it. I've stamped and coloured part of the large floral image from the Climbing Roses stamp set in the top corner and added a small coloured rose in the opposite corner to finish.

Such a pretty card. Love the silver bling!!
Love the purple and your take on this card. Beautiful
Love the silver glimmer die cut. This looks stunning. And the colouring with blends is perfect. I love your different tones of the flowers.
The silver glimmer background element is so pretty!
Love both cards but my favorite is the H. Heather one with all the glitz.
Beautiful cards…I love the way you did the inside of the card too. Thanks for all you share!
Beautiful cards — I love the way you did the inside of the card too, very pretty. Thanks for all you share.
Judy, I love how you’ve tucked the sentiment behind the roses, making them the focal point and showing off your beautiful colouring. Great card.
