Clean & Simple 125
Hello again
Yesterday I got to create a card for this weeks Clean & Simple FTL 125 sketch. Just as well, as I've spent today in bed with a horror migraine, surfacing late this afternoon to face the world. Definitely not my preferred way to get a day off work.
Initially, I was a bit freaked when I first saw the sketch, but then I really warmed to it. Here it is:
I have used one of my favourite colour combos from last year – Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Not Quite Navy and Basic Gray as the base for white embossing the rose from the 'Fifth Avenue Floral' stamp set, which has been neglected for too long. The base Crumb Cake card is 12cm x 12cm, which is a really nice size to work with. I glued the coloured panels to a cardstock base, which I've popped up for added dimension. Here it is.
I really like the clean simplicity of the finished card. While I was on a roll I also made the next card for my stash using the same colours and sketch. This one is closer to the sketch layout. It reminds me how much I miss Kiwi Kiss.

Well Judy, you’ve done it again, that sketch would have freaked me out too, love your interpretation. Both cards are fab but the one with the single flower is my favourite it seems to fit more with the “simple” theme.
beautiful cards!! Love them both!!
Beautiful … Judy. Such an elegant “take” on this sketch! Hugs xxaxx
Judy, these are amazing! You just ROCK “clean and simple”. Love them. The second one’s my favourite.
Sorry to hear you had a migraine. Yuk 🙁 These are absolutely fabulous. I think I like the first one. That bold single flower is great.
