CASEing the Catalogue
Hi there
Looking through the Annual Catalogue at all the great products to choose from, it is easy to overlook the fabulous range of projects the clever designers at Stampin' Up! have created for us. So if you need ideas, inspiration or something in a hurry, don't forget to use the Annual Catalogue as a resource.
In our class on Sunday, we decorated one of the cute Grid Journals using the 'Flower Patch' stamp set and matching framelits. This is a project shown in the Annual Catalogue, that I was looking forward to making. I made a few changes to suit the supplies I had on hand and love the end result. These journals make great gifts for teachers, colleagues, teens and just about anyone. You could even use it to keep track of your Stampin' Up! wish list!
I have used one of the new Decorative Masks to create the stripes on the journal with a sponge dauber and Whisper White Craft ink. I recommend a little bit of repositionable adhesive on the back to keep the mask secure while you apply the ink. It is quick and easy and you get the choice of dots, hearts and stars in addition to the stripes.
This was my first use of photopolymer stamps and I love how easy it was to line up the images to do 2-step stamping. You should use the Stampin' Pierce Mat as a base when using the photopolymer stamps as it helps to achieve a good result with solid images.
