Bird Ballad Pop-Up Fancy Fold
Hi there
Today I'm sharing a fancy fold card using the Bird Ballad Suite of products. I was inspired by this card from Amanda Bates and decided to come up with a landscape version of her Pop-up Front Step Panel card. I've sized it for the frame I created with the Stitched Rectangle Dies that fits the large bird image from the Free As A Bird stamp set.
The back panel and the step is created from a single piece of Pool Party card stock and I've used two coordinating designs from the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper to embellish them.
I stamped the bird image onto a piece of Whisper White cut to the exact size of the frame I created with two Stitched Rectangle Dies. I used Memento Espresso Truffle ink for a slightly softer outline to the image and then coloured it with Stampin' Blends markers. I went over the background with the Light Pool Party Stampin' Blend marker to add some sky. White Baker's Twine was wrapped twice around the finished art piece and then adhered to the front panel. The finished front panel was then adhered to the back panel and the front of the step. The greeting was white embossed on Bermuda Bay card stock and cropped with the smallest of the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I finished with a fussy cut flower, bud and leaves in the corner.
I have created a writing panel on the reverse, with a mat of Petal Pink card stock and part of the bird image stamped and coloured in the bottom corner.
The card fold flats for easy mailing. To get the proportions I was happy with, it is slightly over size, so I made a custom envelope for a snug fit.
